Katie Louchheim

Katie is an audio engineer, producer, author, and artist. Katie studied voice with her mentor and master voice teacher Joyce Keshner for 14+ years. Much of that time has been spent being told to "stop decomposing the song" as well as taking many necessary tea and bagel breaks. Katie grew up in Tucson, AZ, and moved to New York in 2008 to pursue music. Along with her studies and continual growth, Katie worked very closely with Recording Artists Development, Inc., a non-profit organization that helps artists bring their visions to life as well as with Female Frequency an organization founded by Claire London, Dani Marie and Julie Kathryn that focuses on promoting and empowering women, GNC and non-binary folx in all areas of the music-making process and fighting the erasure of their contributions. Katie received both a Bachelor's in Cultural Analysis from The New School for Public Engagement as well as a Creative Arts Therapy Certificate in 2013. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Institute of Audio Research in 2015 where she learned the craft studying under notable producers and engineers Dan Grigsby, Stephen Dent, Phil Painson, Trini, Lisa Moyer and many others. Katie, along with her cat Gatsby, recently returned to Tucson where they are currently based.
